How To Make A Great Milkshake

There are two ways of making a great milkshake.

1). Take three scoops of flavoured ice cream with a bit of milk and blend.

2). Alternatively, put three scoops of vanilla ice cream with 150ml of milk and one ‘pump’ of Cruz purée fruit flavouring , then blend slow for ten seconds.

Both will achieve good results but the second method saves on space and cost.

Great Tasting, Space-Saving & Cost-Effective Fruit Purees

In the first example you will need freezer space for each flavoured tub of ice cream e.g. six flavours on the menu = space for 6 x tubs of ice cream. This can be difficult as most places are short of freezer space particularly in the serving area.

The second method is a lot easier as the flavours are in 1kg bottles with hand pumps and these are stored ambient on top of the counter next to the blender. Then you only have think about one flavour of ice cream (vanilla) and a very small amount of milk. Ten seconds later you’ve made a delicious milkshake. Overall less space and less hassle.

There is a cost advantage too and using the purée method the total cost for a 12 fl oz milkshake is approx 53 pence. Whereas using the flavoured ice cream method will cost at least 50% more.

The fruit purees are made from real fruit and they are highly concentrated and a one 1kg bottle is enough to flavour 34 approx milkshakes. One pump of the dispenser flavours one milkshake with the correct amount of purée.
